Never were there two more thoroughly ‘kindred spirits’.
– Anne of Avonlea
Joni and Meg are kindred spirits who share an unholy love of rick-rack; reproduction fabrics; American Girl® dolls; peppermint milkshakes; and The Blue Castle. We agree to disagree on religion; college hoops; caffeine; and sewing while intoxicated. Kindred Thread was born out of a mutual admiration for one another’s work and the fact that both of us fail miserably at not buying fabric.
Meg is our Director of Google Research, Photoshop Queen, and Official Post-it Note Listmaker. She is fueled by Diet Coke and once hand-embroidered 43 lazy daisies on a doll dress while consuming a bottle of red wine. She sells custom children’s clothing at www.norasroom.com and is proud to be a boutique sewer for Oliver + S. In her spare time, she’s a practicing psychologist at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
Joni is our Director of Social Media and Emergency Preparedness. She sews from her home studio (which is a fancy way of saying ‘unfinished basement’) in Noblesville, Indiana, and has previously marketed her doll creations under the label The Embellished Life. Joni graduated from Butler University with a degree in chemistry, which has absolutely nothing to do with doll clothes. Also, she has wheat in her basement.
Our Director of Digital Bananas is Rob (known to some as the Monkey Hat Man). If you spot him on the AG Playthings Message Forums, he’s just doing Market Research. Really.
